Charmaine Hui: A Rising Star in the Hosting Industry

Charmaine Hui has officially joined Hong Kong artist management company Chessman HK as a professional host.

The 28-year-old, daughter of the late Hong Kong veteran actor Benz Hui, announced the news through a joint Instagram post with the company on February 9.

"Six months ago, I couldn't have predicted that this period would bring about so many changes, constantly pushing me out of my comfort zone in just three months. But, as the saying goes, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade," Charmaine expressed.

"I'm incredibly thankful for the unwavering support of my family and friends during this time; their care has truly eased the entire 'lemonade-making process' for me."

Benz, a Singaporean PR, passed away at the age of 76 due to multiple organ failure caused by cancer.

Charmaine tied the knot with her Singaporean husband, who is based in Hong Kong, in 2023. Following their marriage, she relocated back to Hong Kong with him.

Chessman HK showcased Charmaine's profile on their Instagram, highlighting her as a "versatile host" with "excellent trilingual abilities" proficient in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Her hosting services cater to corporate, TV, and online events within the lifestyle and F&B sectors.

During an interview with As One Entertainment, Charmaine humbly expressed that she feels she is "not yet qualified" to fill her father's shoes.

"There's so much for me to learn, so I hope to receive plenty of guidance and support from everyone," she added.

When asked about her father's support for her career choice, Charmaine shared with a Hong Kong publication, "As long as I'm happy, Dad would support me, so I will always treasure and appreciate that unconditional love."

Charmaine also revealed her long-standing interest in hosting, having emceed numerous school events during her university days.

Regarding acting in dramas and films, she mentioned that it would depend on the availability of opportunities. "Whatever new challenges come my way, I'll give my best shot."

It was an absolute machine and it was something I could admire watching." Travis also revealed that he was focusing on his diet ahead of the Super Bowl. He said: "I’ve been eating clean.
